Description:

GeoGebra and EquatIO are two options to support students in math.  This webinar will look at the features of these to see how they can help demonstrate mathematical concepts as well as allow students to demonstrate understanding using digital methods rather than paper/pencil.  The webinar will look at the updated and new features of GeoGebra and look at EquatIO MathSpace and EquatIO Mobile as well as reviewing the input methods for EquatIO.

 

Objectives

 

Participants will become familiar with apps that are included in GeoGebra including geometric construction, various calculators and algebra features

Participants will learn how to use EquatIO mobile on a tablet/phone to input math and convert worksheets into a document.

Participants will learn how to use EquatIO for digital math including Speech to Text and Equation Prediction 

Presenter:

Linda Doehle has recently worked as an Assistive Technology Specialist for the Yakima School District. She graduated from Whitworth College where she majored in computer science and mathematics. She started her career as a software engineer and independent computer consultant. Linda enjoys being able to use her technology skills in helping students optimize their abilities through the use of assistive technology.
