In this one-hour webinar, participants will learn about the powerful writing support features of WordQ 5 software. WordQ 5 offers word prediction, speech feedback, proofreading, and enhanced topical searches to help with writing. Students can also read PDFs and fill in PDF worksheets or tests. Word Q5 supports online and offline writing across desktop applications like Office 365, Google and iOS. This webinar will
be co-hosted by Rose Racicot and a Quillsoft vendor to make sure all your questions are answered.
Participants will discover how to use word prediction and speech feedback features to support spelling and editing.
Participants will be able to learn how to use WordQ PDF reader to open a PDF document for accessible reading and writing and fill out a form using this feature.
Participants will learn how to use ThoughtQ feature to assist with researching topics.
Rose Racicot, MS, OTR/L is an OT and Assistive Technology Specialist with 31 years of experience, currently working in Bellevue School District and SETC at CWU. She has conducted research and been published on “The Effect of Multimedia Software on Written Productivity”. She presents workshops on literacy support software, UDL, iPad and other AT topics at state and national conferences as well as guest lecturing at local OT and OTA schools. She is passionate about helping educators implement Universal Design for Learning principles to create inclusive classrooms for all students to succeed.
