Math – It can be Fun!
Learning math can be challenging especially if the learner has cognitive or physical issues that make it difficult to write out the steps. This webinar will demonstrate some of the tools that are available to help teachers present math in a variety of ways and software that will allow students to participate in math with alternative access methods using the computer. Math can be fun for all!
Learning Objectives: Participants in the webinar will be:
Presented with an overview of several math programs and apps covering the range for Pre-K-12th grade)
Introduced to several free math tools for both students and teachers to use
Learn about software that will allow higher level math students with writing difficulties to participate in math class with the use of a computer and/or tablet

Linda Doehle has recently worked as an Assistive Technology Specialist for the Yakima School District. She graduated from Whitworth College where she majored in computer science and mathematics. She started her career as a software engineer and independent computer consultant. Linda enjoys being able to use her technology skills in helping students optimize their abilities through the use of assistive technology.
