Intro to Microsoft OneNote & Learning Tools in OneNote and Word

The Microsoft OneNote digital note taking app has many features that allow students and teachers to organize their classes and information.  Learning Tools is an add-on component for OneNote and MS Word that has a dictation tool and reading accommodations.  This webinar will look at OneNote and how students can use it to organize their class notes, take notes while recording, and do research.  We will also look at the Learning Tools accommodations features for OneNote and Word.


Learning Objectives:

  • Participants in the webinar will learn:

  • How to navigate OneNote

  • What Learning Tools are in OneNote and Word

  • How to use the Immersive Reader in the Learning Tools in OneNote and Word

  • How to use the Dictation tool in Learning Tools

Presenter:

Linda Doehle has recently worked as an Assistive Technology Specialist for the Yakima School District. She graduated from Whitworth College where she majored in computer science and mathematics. She started her career as a software engineer and independent computer consultant. Linda enjoys being able to use her technology skills in helping students optimize their abilities through the use of assistive technology.
