Please bring a charged Chromebook with the current updates installed to this session.  Have a Google account that you have accessed on this Chromebook before this session.  Please bring a set of headphones.

Go to the Status Tray to check that your Chromebook is running the latest updates.  Click on the Settings icon on the left side of this dialog box.  At the very top of the screen, it says “About Chrome OS.”

Click on the “Check for and apply updates” button.  It should either say “Your Chromebook is up to date” or it will apply the current updates.

If it does not, check with IT that this is not a glitch.  It could be a very old Chromebook that can’t install updates, do not bring it to this session.  Determine if your Chromebook has reached its Auto Update Expiration: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/6220366?hl=en

The Google environment is becoming very prevalent in educational settings.  Chromebooks are also an excellent option for senior citizens.
