Personalized Learning and the UDL Lens:
Empowering Learners to Support their Own Learning
Designing instruction within the UDL Lens of Access, Engage and Express requires teachers to know and understand their learners’ strengths and challenges. Kathleen has developed a practical 3-step process that helps teachers understand who their learners are so that they can develop the skills to support their learning. Join Kathleen as she introduces “How to Personalize Learning using the UDL Lens”.
1. Participants will understand what personalize learning is as it relates to the learner.
2. Participants will learn how to use the UDL Lens of Access, Engage and Express with learners to gain a better understanding of each learner’s strengths and challenges.
3. Participants will learn how a Personal Learning Backpack is created with tools and skills that are essential for each learner to support their learning.
