SETC Annual Mini Conference 2018-2019
Universal Design for Learning: Tools and Strategies to Engage All Learners
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework that makes learning personal, offers choices and removes barriers so that all students can achieve in an inclusive environment.
How do we, as educators, embrace the strengths, challenges and learning preferences of every student and plan for these differences? The Universal Design for Learning framework can guide administrators, as well as equip teachers, educational assistants, and therapists with tools and strategies that reach and engage all students.
Come experience learning through the UDL lens in an interactive format that supports a variety of learning preferences. Gain a deeper understanding of personal learning preferences, tools and strategies across platforms that give all students access to the core curriculum.
This conference is for general and special educators who desire to reach and engage all students. We encourage districts to send teams to allow for planning, application and reflection while at the conference. Join educators who wish to move Washington state forward in designing inclusive classrooms and schools that support teachers and improve student learning outcomes.
